Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you a seasoned quantity surveyor looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for energy efficiency and a keen eye for detail? We're seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Energy Solutions team at OVO Energy.

About the Role

This is a key position within our Commercial team, responsible for leading the delivery of Government initiatives such as the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on programme delivery, client communication, and regular contractor engagement
  • Provide task management support, technical guidance, and share industry knowledge with the wider Commercial team
  • Develop and support relationships with main suppliers/contractors
  • Improve business cash flow
  • Identify supply chain cost reduction opportunities and improvements in the Procurement and Commercial process
  • Conduct sourcing events and procure at lowest cost of ownership, covering all commercial, business, and legal project risks in contracts
  • Generate, negotiate, and award Call Off Contracts in accordance with terms and provisions of Agreements
  • Manage all post-contract commercial matters
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial business outputs are being achieved
  • Build, track, and maintain project revenue and margin throughout the project lifecycle
  • Quantify commercial impacts of decisions and the implications of change management
  • Monthly KPIs
  • Lead, develop, write, and secure compliant framework opportunities in partnership with the wider business
Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of the Energy Efficiency or Construction or Regeneration, M&E or Renewable markets and its current events
  • Recent experience in a similar role
  • Previous team or line management responsibilities
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Can build and develop a strategic approach in support of securing contracts across the UK
  • Project expenditure, sequencing of work, programme implementation
