Upholstery Technician (Automotive)
We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Technician to join our team at E-PPL, a specialist contractor who provides high-end interior solutions for luxury vehicles. As an Upholstery Technician, you will be responsible for de-trimming and re-trimming a range of interior seats, including door cards, dashboards, and seat covers using premium leather materials.
Main Responsibilities:
- Repair or replace upholstery in high-end automobiles, including removing old upholstery from seats and door panels.
- Re-trim seats with new covers, ensuring a precise fit and finish.
- Measure and cut new padding and covering materials to required dimensions, using precision tools.
- Adjust or replace seat springs and secure them in place.
- Fabricate and fit new covering to seat frames, using high-quality adhesives and fasteners.
- Refurbish interior components, including replacing cushions and restoring original appearance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in upholstery techniques, including pattern making and trimming.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on attention to detail and quality.
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools, including sewing machines and precision cutting equipment.
- Travel may be required, with accommodations and allowances provided.
- International travel may be required at times.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in upholstery, preferably in the automotive industry.
