About the Position

Leeds City College is seeking a dedicated Science Educator to enhance our educational team, welcoming applications from all scientific disciplines, including those newly qualified.

We currently have several openings:

  • 1 x Part-Time (3 days / 22.2 hours)
  • 2 x Full-Time

This role involves teaching level 2 and level 3 students, contributing to cutting-edge STEM education for learners in the region. Responsibilities include instructing GCSE, BTEC, and Access Courses, as well as transitioning to the new T-Level syllabus.

Our department is collaborative and supportive, with specialists focused on addressing student needs. Educators will teach in various Science subject areas, utilizing outstanding facilities designed to inspire students towards careers in STEM.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design, prepare, and develop educational resources
  • Deliver essential knowledge to students
  • Encourage and inspire learners for their academic progression
  • Establish strong relationships with students to ensure their success
  • Implement restorative practice approaches
Candidate Profile
  • Possesses a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE)
  • Holds the highest vocational qualification in the teaching subject
  • Maintains current subject knowledge with experience in the education sector
  • Sets SMART targets for student progression
  • Familiar with contemporary teaching practices and enhancing the learning journey
  • Inspires and motivates students
