Position Summary
The primary objective of the 3PL Operations Manager role is to meet the service and profitability targets of the depot in accordance with the established annual budget.
This position requires a proactive approach, ensuring that service standards are consistently met while actively engaging with customers to surpass their expectations.
As the Logistics General Manager, you will be responsible for effective risk management through adherence to all company policies, including Health and Safety regulations, as well as compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
Your role will involve providing accurate input into budgeting and forecasting for depot performance, while also managing costs relative to the size of the depot.
You will oversee and mentor your team, fostering open communication, encouraging feedback, and promoting innovative ideas and initiatives.
Collaboration with various clients in a 3PL environment, as well as partnerships with Pallet Networks and Parcel operators, will be essential to successfully fulfill eCommerce and business-to-business orders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a 3PL Operations Manager, with comprehensive service and cost management experience, demonstrating success in achieving growth and profitability goals.
Possessing strong numerical, verbal, and written communication skills, you will hold at least an 'A' level or equivalent qualification.
With a confident and articulate demeanor, you will command respect through your knowledge, experience, and personal style, showcasing a strong commitment to service and customer satisfaction.
Thriving in high-pressure environments, you will adeptly manage multiple priorities while adhering to critical deadlines and objectives.
Your commercial awareness will enable you to effectively engage with over 100 customers whose inventory is stored in our client's warehouses.
Your supportive leadership style, combined with a drive for performance, will reflect your previous successes in leading operational teams.
