Job Title: Software Engineer - Software Acquisition Management

Location: Flexible working arrangements available across various locations.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team, responsible for planning and executing software assurance activities, including reviews of plans, processes, and testing. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders to resolve non-conformances and programme risks, and provide timely and meaningful feedback on software plans and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to agree on acceptable approaches to risk.
  • Plan and execute software assurance activities, including reviews of plans, processes, and testing.
  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve non-conformances and programme risks.
  • Provide timely and meaningful feedback on software plans and documentation.
  • Document the level of risk and provide evidence and reporting for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of the principles of the software lifecycle and its application to various types of software.
  • Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and its relation to software.
  • Logical thinker with the ability to pragmatically resolve problems and engage stakeholders.
  • Experience of software assurance methods and processes, including audit and review.
  • Understanding of the application of software engineering, security, quality, and safety standards.
