Electrical Engineer Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a dynamic company that has recently invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. You will join a team of engineers responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide range of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fault find and diagnose equipment breakdowns, assessing the best course of action and conducting a performance repair.
  2. Carry out any repair or maintenance work that is required, ensuring the area or workshop is left in a clean and safe condition.
  3. Involvement with continuous improvement projects and equipment installations.
  4. Proactively identify ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness of repairs through modern lean thinking and techniques.
  5. Provide a detailed handover to the next shift, ensuring all relevant information is passed on and understood.
  6. Follow preventative maintenance schedules and liaise with the Engineering Supervisor regarding spare parts requirements and orders.
  7. Use Computer Management Maintenance System (Agility) to manage and record daily work activities.
Requirements:
  1. Fault finding both mechanical and electrical.
  2. Pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC (Mitsubishi and Siemens).
  3. Knowledge of inverters and drives.
  4. Ability to work on own and as part of a team.
Education/Qualifications:
  1. NVQ3 engineering or equivalent.
  2. ONC electrical engineering or equivalent.

  2. Salary range £41,500 - £48,000 (opportunities for progression with structured pay increases, subject to skills assessment).
