About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Architect for Data & AI to join our team at Kainos. As a key member of our data and AI community, you will be responsible for delivering contemporary data and AI solutions across multiple customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to senior stakeholders on data and AI strategy and design.
  • Manage a team of architects and engineers, helping them navigate their careers and develop their skills.
  • Assure and support agile teams by understanding the outcomes of solutions, technical implications, and complexity surrounding designs.
  • Develop policy and standards, customer relationships, account strategies, and share knowledge and mentor those around you.
Requirements
  • Broad knowledge of current and emerging data and AI technologies, with the ability to communicate clearly and influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in designing, building, and productionising modern data or AI-intensive applications, including distributed and scalable systems.
  • Experience with public cloud data platforms, including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS offerings.
  • Comfortable with data integration techniques such as messaging, queuing, change data capture, or data virtualisation.
  • Able to prioritise customer concerns and incorporate non-functional concerns into application design.
  • Pro-actively developed business and applied an understanding of commercial implications of decisions.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in managing others, setting objectives, giving feedback, and leading performance reviews.
  • Actively shares thoughts and views on technology.
  • Participated in technology communities.
