Manual Machinist

We are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist / Machine Technician / Lathe Operator to join our team at Verto People. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for operating manual lathes and mills to produce and repair precision parts for various mechanical products.
Key Responsibilities- Operate manual lathes and mills to produce and repair precision parts for blowers, pumps, ancillaries, compressors, vacuum systems, and similar products.
- Perform accurate centre lathe turning for component manufacturing and repair.
- Use metrology equipment to ensure precise measurement and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct repairs, maintenance, and installations on mechanical systems, including blower and vacuum pump systems.
- Participate in training for additional skills, such as thermal spraying and welding, to expand expertise.
- Liaise with various engineering departments to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
- Experience with manual lathes, manual machine tools, mechanical assemblies, and metrology equipment.
- Proven experience with manual machine tools such as lathes and mills, and mechanical assemblies.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using metrology equipment for precision measurement.
- Apprenticeship or engineering qualification in mechanical or machining disciplines is advantageous.
- Ability to lift to 25kg and perform repetitive tasks, with a focus on safety and quality.
