Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team at Pearson Whiffin - Accounts and Finance. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Finance Director in the preparation of management accounts, credit control, and account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts, including financial statement analysis and budgeting.
  • Perform credit control tasks, such as sending invoices and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the Sales and Purchase Ledger teams with tasks such as data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role, preferably with a reputable organization.
  • AAT qualification or relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive attitude to any task at hand.
