The successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership and promote a culture of continuous improvement to deliver sustainable processes that result in quality products being manufactured safely and at the lowest possible cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership:
    • Line management of Team Leaders and Operators in the area of responsibility.
    • Set stretching, yet attainable goals.
    • Responsible for all people processes within the area of responsibility.
    • Responsible for all aspects of training and developing teams, including devising skills matrices, implementing SOPs, identifying skills gaps, developing training plans, and maintaining core training.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Responsible for the management of staff, production, and quality, cost control, safety, and service in the absence of direct line management.
    • Capable of understanding and working across departments and shift patterns.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capable of making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
