About the Role:
The successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery and management of selected Applied Computer Games programmes, including undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The role involves teaching core software development topics such as C#, C++, Artificial Intelligence, OpenGL, Unity, and Unreal Engine. The candidate will also assist in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research theses, potentially support MSc teaching, and contribute to the growth and development of our teaching, research, consultancy, and knowledge transfer activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core software development topics to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Assist in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research theses
- Support MSc teaching and contribute to the growth and development of our teaching, research, consultancy, and knowledge transfer activities
- Expand our external collaboration networks for both research and teaching
- Contribute to new and enhanced curricula and taught provision in areas relevant to Applied Computer Games
Requirements:
- Education to at least masters level, or to a bachelor's degree level and a minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience
- Strong personal desire and commitment to engage in teaching and to contribute to research/consultancy
