Are you skilled in the management and treatment of patients with liver disorders and committed to enhancing Hepatology services for individuals?

We seek an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a sincere interest in liver health to become a member of our Hepatology team. The successful applicant will join the Hepatology Nursing Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Initial training will be provided, and a willingness to travel is necessary. Ongoing peer support is a vital aspect of this position, and our team is dedicated to fostering this environment.

Key Responsibilities

For a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities associated with this position, please refer to the job description section below. As an integral member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will collaborate with an outstanding team focused on assisting our patients in maintaining their health during critical times.

About Our Organization

Covering Northern, Eastern, and Mid Devon, we employ over 15,000 staff, making us the largest employer in the region. Our core services cater to more than 615,000 individuals across over 2,000 square miles, with some specialized services extending throughout the peninsula, reaching as far as Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

We provide a diverse array of emergency, specialized, and general medical services through our facilities.

In addition to our two acute hospitals, we offer integrated health and social care services across various settings, including community inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, and home care. We also deliver primary care services, a variety of specialized community services, and Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC).

Our advanced equipment, cutting-edge technologies, and strong partnerships with local universities position us at the forefront of research and innovation, enabling us to deliver exceptional care to our communities.

This is an exciting time to join the Royal Devon, as you will play a role in shaping our services as we continue our integration journey.

Role Details

The ideal candidate must possess a passion for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with chronic liver conditions in both hospital and community environments. While teamwork is essential, the successful candidate will also be expected to work autonomously and without direct supervision, effectively managing their workload in various clinical settings to address the dynamic demands of this role.

You should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, organized, computer literate, and capable of demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to ongoing personal development. As a member of the multi-disciplinary Hepatology team, the post holder will offer nursing expertise related to liver disease to colleagues across the Trust and community. We promote a learning environment within the team and provide support for ongoing training to facilitate growth within the role. There will be numerous opportunities for career advancement through personal and professional development initiatives. While a background in hepatology nursing is preferred, the Trust is willing to develop and train a suitable high-quality candidate.

Our vision is to deliver safe, high-quality, seamless services with courtesy and respect.

Working Schedule: Standard hours per week, Monday to Friday.
