About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Data Centre team in Manchester. As a key member of our Building Services Engineering Senior Team, you will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary projects and providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.

Our Data Centre team is part of an extensive Arup data centre network, supporting clients to deliver projects across the UK and Europe. You will be part of a collaborative team of over 35 engineers and technicians in the Manchester office and a wider 100+ engineers and technicians within the North West and Yorkshire region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multidisciplinary projects from feasibility to completion
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Contribute to the development of innovative design solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver projects across the UK and Europe
Requirements
  • BSc qualified in Mechanical Services Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution
  • Excellent design and technical skills and experience in design analysis software
  • Experience of working within a BIM environment using Revit with knowledge of parametric design
  • Familiar with managing small teams to ensure successful project delivery
