Job Title: Engineering Biology Project Manager

Job Summary:

The University of Manchester is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead the administration of two Engineering Biology projects. The successful candidate will provide professional management for all aspects of the projects, including liaison with project leaders, coordination of activities, and communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for the two Engineering Biology projects
  • Act as the central liaison point with project leaders, industrial partners, and external funding agencies
  • Coordinate activities across all work packages, including the sLoLa programme and the Biomolecule Engineering Centre
  • Organize and coordinate regular scientific meetings, secondments, placements, and training workshops
  • Develop and maintain a website to advertise the projects and facilitate external access and training
  • Work with the Biomolecule Engineering Centre team to ensure seamless integration and coordination of activities

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a research or academic setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
