About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydrogen System Engineer to join our team as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate. This is an exciting opportunity to fast-track your career development and work on a collaborative project between Robert Gordon University and Intervention Rentals UK Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer knowledge of Organic Rankin Cycle, Electrolysis, Integration techniques and technologies to Intervention Rentals
  • Take a leading role in developing the Digital Twin system for Waste Heat Harvesting
  • Manage the KTP project and effectively communicate its purpose and benefits, and guidelines for system maintenance, usage and enhancement
  • Gain insights from engineering projects using LLMs and integrate this knowledge into accessible workflows through CBR for effective knowledge management
  • Develop technical and personal skills (verbal and written) to meet the requirements of increasing responsibility and experience level
Requirements
  • MEng / MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering with 2.1 or Merit
  • Strong knowledge of Thermodynamics Cycle
  • Strong knowledge of Matlab simulation software and an interest in data analysis
  • Project management: ability to plan, coordinate and execute tasks efficiently, keeping project on track and within scope
  • Problem-solving: proficiency in identifying, analysing and resolving challenges
Desirable Requirements
  • PhD in relevant field and/or publication in reputable Journals
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of programming languages (e.g., R, Python, or similar)
  • Experience in AI, ML
  • Experience in relevant projects through industrial placement, job or academic project
