Position: Maintenance Optimization Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Optimization Engineer to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our maintenance operations. This role is ideal for seasoned maintenance professionals with a background in planning who are eager to transition into a reliability-focused position. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the effective execution of maintenance tasks across multiple sites by developing and managing the site’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Analyze equipment reliability metrics to identify underperforming assets and actively participate in corrective action initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- While there are no direct reports, overseeing contractors safely is a critical aspect of this role.
- Flexibility in working arrangements may be required on rare occasions.

Workload Management:
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines effectively.

CMMS Management:
- Daily administration and enhancement of the maintenance CMMS, serving as the site champion.
- Implement a proactive and predictive maintenance strategy utilizing techniques such as thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration analysis to enhance plant reliability through the site’s Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) system.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance work orders and requests from various departments for both internal teams and external contractors.
- Plan and manage shutdown maintenance activities.
- Foster a culture of preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Collaborate with operations to adjust the maintenance plan in response to daily operational changes, minimizing disruptions.
- Assess site-wide maintenance risks and compliance, actively engaging in system improvement activities.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement of spare parts and services to support maintenance efforts, coordinating with suppliers and contractors.
- Oversee maintenance inventory to establish and maintain critical spare parts holdings.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date record-keeping for all maintenance-related activities and asset data, including the organization of historical data for compliance purposes.

Qualifications:
- Engineering qualification is preferred, with experience in a maintenance department, ideally within a manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) is essential.
- Proficient in IT, including data entry, analysis, and use of spreadsheets and MS Office applications.
- Strong planning and organizational skills are crucial.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CNC, routing, boring, edge banding, and woodworking machinery is beneficial.
- Understanding of proactive maintenance reliability techniques, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Familiarity with lubrication, condition monitoring techniques, and predictive maintenance practices.
- Project planning skills are a plus.
