Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Southern Lights. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for supporting the business IT services at 2nd and 3rd line level, ensuring the maintenance, administration, and regular monitoring checks are completed, and that the Network, Server, and Desktop estate provides a robust and highly available platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including Windows server and desktop operating systems, desktop, server, and network hardware, and analogue and IP telephony systems and mobiles.
  • Administer and manage Office 365, including front and back-end administration, MS 365 security, and user administration.
  • Ensure the integrity of data by completing Server Data Backup/Restores and escalating any issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Implement and maintain processes, policies, and procedures as per documentation.
  • Minimize service disruption when implementing projects, maintenance work, and dealing with incidents.
  • Complete any other relevant duties as directed by the Team Lead/IT Director.
Requirements
  • Strong 2nd and 3rd line level technical skills in Windows server and desktop operating systems, desktop, server, and network hardware, analogue and IP telephony systems and mobiles, Office 365, MS 365 security, and user administration, Active Directory, WSUS, and SCCM.
  • Experience with remote access technologies, e.g., VPN, RDP, virtual servers, and onsite/cloud hosting technologies.
  • Knowledge of networking systems, protocols, Cisco networks, and firewalls is desirable.
