Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at The Christie NHS FT. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading by example, and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of patients and families, ensuring provision of client-centred care that promotes health and well-being.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care, in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
  • Assess educational and informational needs of patients and families, providing up-to-date information to enable them to participate in care planning.
  • Enhance care by using relevant research outcomes when planning and delivering nursing care.
  • Evaluate nursing care and inform senior staff of patients' changing healthcare needs.
  • Contribute to the development of our nursing practice, participating in clinical risk assessments and ensuring correct documentation of clinical incidents.

Person Specification

  • RGN Level 1 or 2
  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing Studies
  • Experience in relevant speciality
  • Leadership experience or similar
