Job Title: Asset Safety Officer

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Adept Resourcing Engineering Ltd. As an Asset Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of employees, contractors, and the public by maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and improve our ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  2. Drive cultural change towards a proactive EHS approach and sustainable business practices.
  3. Develop and monitor EHS risk strategies and plans to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Conduct and lead internal and external EHS audits to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Carry out task-specific risk assessments and incident investigations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  6. Deliver EHS training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  7. Stay up-to-date with UK EHS legislation and compliance requirements to ensure our company remains compliant.
Requirements:
  1. A Level, HNC, or equivalent practical experience in EHS management.
  2. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or working towards Diploma.
  3. Experience in Environmental and Health & Safety management, preferably in the engineering and technology sector.
  4. Strong communication, IT, and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  5. Experience with capital projects, preferably turnkey, and familiarity with CDM regulations and COMAH.
  6. Auditing experience and understanding of management systems to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
