Position Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the quantity surveying operations for groundworks and civil engineering projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Duties:
- Manage the complete quantity surveying process for groundworks and civil projects.
- Develop precise cost estimates and financial plans.
- Conduct thorough feasibility analyses and risk evaluations.
- Track project advancements and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate successful project execution.
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement risk management, value management, and cost control strategies.
- Prepare and analyze comprehensive reports, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors to drive project success.
- Identify potential challenges and devise strategies to mitigate risks.
- Establish and oversee contractual protocols and financial management systems.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a comparable role within the Groundworks sector.
- In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and cost estimation techniques.
- Expertise in measuring and valuing construction activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, CCS, or other cost estimation applications).
