We are seeking a highly skilled Private Client Tax Manager to join our team at Johnston Carmichael. As a key member of our Private Client Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax services to our clients, working closely with Partners and Client Relationship Managers to achieve our team's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical and tax planning advice to clients, collaborating with other team members, Partners, and Client Relationship Managers as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest business tax, personal tax, and capital tax regulations and guidelines.
- Oversee the personal tax return process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage billing and WIP, maintaining a thorough understanding of our clients' tax compliance positions.
- Mentor and train Tax Seniors and Assistants, delegating tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Liaise with the client service team and other disciplines to provide a coordinated service to clients.
- Contribute to tax advisory and planning work on client projects and other initiatives as they arise.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring a high-quality tax compliance service.
- Support the firm's business development in the local area, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
The successful candidate will have personal tax experience, a working knowledge of other taxes, and practical experience with software systems used in tax return preparation. A CTA, CA, ATT, or equivalent qualification, along with evidence of Continuing Professional Development, is required.
