Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at a leading manufacturer in the precision engineering industry. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections on machined, pressed, and fabricated components.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspection on machined, pressed, and fabricated components.
  • Perform manual dimensional inspection on machined, pressed, and fabricated components.
  • Calibrate inspection equipment and review material certificates.
  • Use conventional inspection equipment, including micrometres, verniers, callipers, and gauges.
  • Operate CMM and Faro Arm equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings.

Requirements:

  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship.
  • Experience in a precision engineering environment.
  • Previous inspection experience.
  • Good knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerances.
  • Able to use conventional inspection equipment.
  • Ideal experience of calibration and material certification.
  • Experience of using CMM and Faro Arm.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience of working with stainless steel and mild steel components.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, communication, and IT skills.
