About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Penetration Tester to join our team at Blair West. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a central role in delivering project-based work and supporting our clients in the North East.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and detailed application and penetration testing assessments to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our clients' systems.
  • Ensure timely delivery of penetration testing projects, adhering to strict deadlines and meeting the high standards of our clients.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement effective cybersecurity strategies and solutions.
Requirements
  • A qualification in an IT Security subject or Computer Sciences.
  • Experience working in a SOC/Security team, including penetration testing, using standard industry tools and custom scripts.
  • Excellent understanding of current and new IT security technologies, breaches, and trends.
  • Good general understanding of Infrastructure and standard network technologies, including cloud and/or hybrid environments (GCP, AWS, and Azure).
  • Experience with Linux and proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python and Bash.
