Gas Analytics Team Lead Position at E1 EDF Trading Ltd

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gas Analytics Team Lead to join our dynamic team at E1 EDF Trading Ltd. As a Gas Analytics Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of gas analysts and data engineers to provide comprehensive insights into gas balances and develop profitable trading ideas based on robust quantitative analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 10 gas analysts and data engineers to ensure delivery of agreed outputs and support professional development
  • Develop and maintain proprietary gas market models to provide up-to-date views on gas balances
  • Create profitable trading ideas based on fundamental analysis
  • Maintain high quantitative rigor in analysis and monitor accuracy of output
  • Develop tools to monitor market developments and gas balances
  • Communicate findings to traders, analysts, and management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to produce integrated energy analysis

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in gas analytics
  • Previous experience leading a team of analysts
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and quantitative techniques

Technical Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in engineering, math, finance, or economics
  • Proficiency in Python for data analytics
  • Knowledge of Excel and SQL

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
