Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate AD Hoc Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Priory Hospital Cardiff. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
- Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care that is tailored to the patient's needs, working closely with the patient and their carer/family.
- Participate in quality improvement processes and clinical governance to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Provide accurate and accessible information about care to patients and their families.
- Escalate concerns regarding patient well-being, incidents, or staffing issues in a timely manner.
- Support new and junior staff members, promoting a culture of person-centered care.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Standards.
- Qualified Registered Nurse with active NMC Registration.
- Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
- Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, IT literate.
