Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate AD Hoc Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Priory Hospital Cardiff. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
  2. Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care that is tailored to the patient's needs, working closely with the patient and their carer/family.
  3. Participate in quality improvement processes and clinical governance to ensure the highest standards of care.
  4. Provide accurate and accessible information about care to patients and their families.
  5. Escalate concerns regarding patient well-being, incidents, or staffing issues in a timely manner.
  6. Support new and junior staff members, promoting a culture of person-centered care.
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Standards.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Registered Nurse with active NMC Registration.
  2. Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices.
  3. Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
  4. Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  5. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, IT literate.
