Senior Project Manager

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage projects in a hardware/capital equipment engineering environment. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing new products, from planning to successful launch and initial deliveries. This includes ensuring a seamless cross-functional process, sometimes remotely and outside the current business unit.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage project deliverables as required by the stage-gate development process.
- Work with engineering teams to track and report progress, costs, risks, and issues at a business level.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure project schedule, quality, feature set, and costs align with business requirements.
- Work with Marketing, Sales, Service, and Operations to ensure a seamless release and successful transition to routine shipping.
- Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities and leading the development and introduction of new processes and tools when necessary.
- Degree qualified.
- Experience in a Project Management position, working on large-scale, complex projects.
- Background in Engineering and ideally previous experience in Capex Management.
- Experience with capital equipment and proven success in product development projects in a high-tech environment.
- Capable of flexible work across product lines, business units, and locations, even remotely.
- Familiarity with project management tools, issue tracking systems, and status reporting.
- Possesses broad business knowledge, including manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, and service, which are crucial to consider during project planning and delivery phases.
- Has a solid understanding of stage-gate project oversight processes and has demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with multi-functional teams.
- Effectively able to work remotely and deliver projects regardless of location.
