About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the financial function, ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist with strong relevant experience will be considered
- Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry would be highly beneficial

Key Responsibilities
Accounting
- Overall responsibility of the accounting function, including financial reporting and analysis
- Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues
- Prepare Year End Accounts and liaise with the external accountants
- Supervising and developing Accounts team
Financial Management
- Developing credit control strategies to optimize cash flow
- Managing working capital to provide sufficient funds for business operations
- Managing grants and other funding sources
- Working with the Finance Director on setting budgets and financial goals, and working with all senior managers to keep the business on track to achieve the goals
- Providing insights on the financial performance and health of the organisation
- Working with other teams to identify cost reduction, revenue generating, process improvement opportunities, and to support them in the exploration of those opportunities
- Ensuring that Financial Policies and Procedures are adhered to
- Supporting the Finance Director in developing financial models
- Identifying Financial risks and suggesting mitigation measures
ERP System
- General administration and maintenance of the ERP system
- Suggesting efficient and effective business processes and controls to adapt to changes in the business
