Responsibilities:
  • Deliver customized tutoring in English and Maths for Key Stage 3 pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to meet the unique learning requirements of each student.
  • Assess and monitor student performance, providing constructive feedback to both students and their guardians.
  • Work collaboratively with educational staff and special education coordinators to ensure effective support for students.
  • Comply with SEND regulations and guidelines throughout all tutoring sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid teaching qualification in English and/or Maths.
  • Experience in supporting students with SEND within an educational environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum.
Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline.

Experience Required:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEND.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to modify teaching strategies to accommodate individual student needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Work Environment:

This position involves providing direct support to students with SEND in their homes. The tutor may be required to travel to various educational locations within the Harlow area.

All stated pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
