Role Overview

SJB Medical is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments of individuals to determine the impact of their disabilities or conditions on their ability to work.
  • Draw on your clinical expertise to gather and analyze medical history, perform physical examinations, and produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP).
  • Meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion, and best practice standards.
  • Work independently, but as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, with access to support and resources as needed.

Requirements

  • Qualified Pharmacist with a strong clinical background and expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including part-time options.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £37,500 - £43,000, with an additional £2,000 after one year and ongoing bonus of up to 10%.
