We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to join our team at Hudson Shribman. This role is essential for the effective operation of our facilities, focusing on the installation, upkeep, and enhancement of electrical systems within our production and laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and enhancement of electrical systems to support operational processes.
  • Oversee the upkeep and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment, including motors, instrumentation, and control panels.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with statutory regulations and adheres to British Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Actively engage in performance management and development initiatives within the company.
  • Strive for excellence in work quality, timeliness, and adherence to project specifications, utilizing available technology and skills.
  • Adhere to the company's Human Resources policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electro Technical Services or BTEC National Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficient in PLCs, three-phase motors, and fault diagnosis on industrial control systems, with a solid understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with building MMC panels is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to diagnose issues in electrical systems, including low voltage circuits, motors, and lighting, using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Supervisor/Manager to implement a robust preventive maintenance strategy for all electrical components and systems.
  • Work alongside other engineers to coordinate the installation of specialized electrical components, ensuring project completion.
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer installation guidelines to execute projects effectively.
