We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the site, including offices, corridors, and communal areas.
  • Operate a variety of cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions.
  • Empty bins, dust surfaces, and sanitize high-touch areas to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning schedules and deadlines.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team.

About You

We are looking for someone who is naturally friendly, with good written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to communicate effectively with customers and managers, while complying with Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience is desired, but not essential.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and organize your own time.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy cleaning equipment and supplies.
