About Our Nursing Home

At Chesham Leys, we provide expert nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia, in a comfortable and homely environment. Our nursing home is conveniently located close to Chesham town centre, with easy access to local bus routes.

Our Nursing Team

We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RGN and RMN) to join our nursing team at Chesham Leys. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, working nights only or weekends only with hour shifts.

Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £. per hour, plus £4. per hour enhancement on bank holidays. In addition, we provide a comprehensive induction program, ongoing training and development opportunities, and a generous holiday entitlement.

Your Daily Duties

As a Registered Nurse at Chesham Leys, your daily duties will include:

  • Ensuring the NMC code of practice is upheld at all times
  • Acting as a role model for all staff and ensuring a high quality of nursing care is provided at all times
  • Monitoring and managing the health and well-being of our residents
  • Being involved with all aspects of nursing care, including personal care
  • Implementing, reviewing and updating care plans
  • Medication management and administration
  • Maintaining accurate detailed reports and records
  • Ensuring residents receive planned or urgent healthcare whenever required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion and commitment for providing quality nursing care
  • A live NMC PIN number
  • Clinical knowledge with experience as a Registered Nurse in a care or nursing home
  • Experience in catheterisation (male and female), wound care, venepuncture and PEG feeds
  • A reliable, trustworthy and flexible approach to work
