Their expertise spans across manufacturing, assembly, and testing applications, predominantly serving the automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing sectors.

They are seeking to appoint an Engineering Design Lead to oversee their technical team. The primary responsibilities of this role encompass comprehensive management throughout the project lifecycle. This begins with grasping customer specifications and transforming initial conceptual designs into detailed, definitive designs and specifications. This includes addressing performance, cost, safety and compliance, manufacturability, and more, while collaborating closely with the project manager to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in mechanics and design, as well as knowledge of electrical systems, power systems, fluid power, control and measurement, and software related to specialized machinery and testing rigs.

Key qualifications include:

Essential:

  1. Relevant engineering degree
  2. Advanced software proficiency
  3. Familiarity with SolidWorks
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Project)
  5. Strong mathematical skills

Desirable:

  1. Management qualifications
  2. Chartered engineer or master's degree
