About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our theatre team as a Theatre Support Worker. As a key member of our operating team, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our theatres and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the positioning of patients in theatre before surgery and in the recovery area, ensuring that pressure areas are protected adequately and that patient comfort is maintained.
  • Handle and store patient specimens safely, complying with Trust policy.
  • Assist to maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Proactively engage in the Trust safety agenda.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and productive care environment, compliant with standards for hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Communicate and document information in a timely and appropriate manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
