Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Media Relations Officer to spearhead the strategy, planning, and execution of international media outreach that shapes policy discussions surrounding ODI's key priorities.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Media Strategy Development**: Formulate and implement comprehensive media strategies that align with ODI's objectives.
2. **Relationship Building**: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media outlets to effectively pitch stories and enhance ODI's visibility.
3. **Proactive Media Engagement**: Develop proactive media plans that respond to current events and trends, ensuring ODI's voice is prominent in relevant discussions.
4. **Cross-Program Collaboration**: Collaborate with various research programs to highlight priority issues, including gender equality and climate change.
5. **Training and Support**: Equip colleagues with the skills to serve as effective spokespeople, ensuring a diverse range of expert voices are available for media engagements.
6. **Media Monitoring and Reporting**: Oversee ODI's media monitoring efforts, providing regular insights to senior management on media performance and impact.
7. **Digital and Print Presence**: Enhance ODI's media footprint across both digital and traditional platforms.
