Senior Embedded Software Engineer – SpaceTech, Linux

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge software for next-generation satellite and computation hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded software for space technology applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code for embedded Linux and bare metal systems
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Expertise in C/C++ programming languages for embedded systems
  • Experience with bare metal development and embedded Linux user-space/kernel development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Educated to degree level (or above) in a scientific, mathematical, or engineering subject

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with space or wireless communications development
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
