Job Opportunity

Join our client, a leading UK challenger bank, as a Model Validation Manager (IRB) and take ownership of the end-to-end model validation of their IRB models.

About the Company

Our client is a FTSE250 company offering a range of products including savings, mortgages, loans, and asset finance. They are known for financing more bespoke products than ordinary lenders.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and challenging the development, implementation, and ongoing use of the bank's more important models.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed analytic reports evaluating the model developments and any enhancements.
  • Developing the business' analytical infrastructure and framework.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as IRB and IFRS9.
  • Supporting the Independent Validation team and the wider Model Oversight team.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 3 years of experience in a statistical modelling role, in a commercial environment.
  • Highly numerical, with excellent analytical skills, with R programming being desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong awareness of the credit risk customer journey.
  • Numerate degree from a Russell Group university in a STEM subject.
