Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Contract

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for food processing plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for food processing plants using Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Conduct site surveys and measure up to ensure accurate designs
  • Collaborate with installation electricians to ensure smooth project execution
  • Develop fabrication and installation drawings for mechanical systems
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure timely completion of projects
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained in Mechanical Engineering, ideally to NVQ L3/HNC level
  • Proficient in Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Experience in food plant layouts and capital equipment design
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes and site survey techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
