About the Role

Finitas is seeking a highly skilled Assurance Officer to join their team in a 2nd line function. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, deep dives, thematic reviews, and controls testing to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end deep-dive reviews and control testing to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement risk-based assurance plans to mitigate potential risks
  • Collaborate with the Head of Assurance to develop and maintain a risk-based assurance framework
  • Provide assurance to senior management that internal controls are operating effectively
  • Conduct thematic reviews to identify trends and areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in 2nd line assurance or internal audit
  • Background in insurance company operations
  • Experience in controls testing and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with senior management and external parties
