As a Prisoner Escort Officer at Serco, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of detainees to and from court proceedings. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a unique blend of skills and qualities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect detainees from prisons or police stations and transport them safely and securely to courts
  • Ensure the care and well-being of detainees during transportation and while in custody
  • Accompany defendants in court rooms and cells, and complete paperwork and data entry for the day
  • Search property or people as required, and maintain a high level of situational awareness at all times
Requirements
  • A current driver's license, with a C1 License (valid CPC card desirable) or D License (with valid CPC card & Tacho Graph desirable)
  • Reasonable fitness level, with good written and verbal communication skills
  • A commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others
