The Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, providing high-quality meals and dining experiences for our residents. This position is essential to the wellbeing of our residents and requires a team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all catering stock and equipment are correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with our Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Deliver meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with the basic preparation of food items under the direction of the Chef.
- Ensure all cleaning within the kitchen, catering, and servery areas is completed and complies with our Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Deliver and maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards, and ensure that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.
