Role Overview
The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of providing clinical leadership within the hospital. This includes overseeing the management and operational activities of clinical services, including theatre and outpatient departments, in accordance with established policies, standards, and regulations.
The Clinical Lead will ensure that all patients receive exceptional care and will effectively manage patient flow through various departments, striving for high-quality, cost-effective healthcare that prioritizes patient needs.
Additionally, the role requires maintaining visible leadership and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of theatres and outpatient services, thereby guaranteeing safe and effective management of clinical pathways.
The Clinical Lead will also be expected to step in for the Hospital Manager during their absence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered General Nurse or Theatre Practitioner with NMC/ODP or HCPC registration is preferred but not mandatory.
- Thorough understanding of relevant clinical standards and regulatory frameworks applicable to the hospital.
- Experience in a senior role collaborating with Consultants, Physicians, allied health professionals, patients, and suppliers.
- Prior leadership experience in a day surgical or operating theatre environment across multiple clinical disciplines.
- Proficient in people management.
- Experience in implementing and supporting evidence-based clinical practices.
