About the Role

Marks Sattin is partnering with a leading Life Sciences company in Oxford to recruit an experienced Inventory Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position in a fast-paced and rapidly expanding business, offering a unique opportunity to apply your skills in Inventory/Stock management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily Inventory Management and Accounting functions, developing strong relationships with operational stakeholders.
  • Drive new processes and controls to ensure a robust and watertight function.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on inventory management, including accurate reconciliations.
  • Lead on projects related to processes, controls, system enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Actively participate in senior stakeholder meetings within finance and operations.
  • Ensure accurate accounting entries for damaged and aging stock/inventory.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly rolling audits.
  • Assist with the finance year-end process.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with a clear background in Inventory Accounting and stakeholder management.
  • Experience working in a complex and fast-paced finance department.
  • Previous examples of taking ownership and leading on projects.
  • Clear experience in managing inventory and associated tasks.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of £70,000 to £75,000 per annum, plus discretionary bonus.
  • Hybrid working options (minimum 3 days in the office).
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
