Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at BYLOR Joint Venture. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Health and Safety Manager: Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, legislation, and policies.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess hazards, rate and rank risk to enable effective evaluation and communication of required actions.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations and produce comprehensive reports addressing underlying issues.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure project teams implement relevant parts of the BYLOR Safety Management System (SMS) and identify corrective actions where required.
  • Subcontractor Assessments: Conduct HSE assessments and input into work-winning tenders.
  • Behavioural Tools: Implement behavioural tools as part of a continuous improvement cycle.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Technical Skills: Relevant experience in Health and Safety within a construction environment, environmental knowledge, and understanding of HSE&E legislation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work within a team environment, coach a team in key HSE project risks, and promote a professional image.
  • Education and Qualifications: Recognised HSE qualifications, NEBOSH.
