Job Title: Young People's Housing Support Mentor
Job Summary:
Adferiad Recovery is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Young People's Housing Support Mentor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality housing-related support to young people aged 16-25 within our 24-hour supported housing property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered support to young people, focusing on their strengths and goals, and working within a framework of reducing harm, achieving tenancy sustainment, and living independently.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each young person, using a strengths-based approach.
- Work collaboratively with the service manager and other staff members to ensure seamless support and a consistent service delivery.
- Be flexible and work across various hours and days of service delivery, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the service.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in a housing support or related role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Knowledge of housing-related issues and the needs of young people.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within a professional boundaries.
