Job Opportunity: Year 1 Teacher

Wayman Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our team at a vibrant and fun primary school in Preston.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach the Key Stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Monitor children's progress and report back to parents as needed.
