Job Summary:

Hampshire County Council is seeking a skilled professional to join its in-house team of construction professionals and specialist support staff. As a Building Risk and Compliance Adviser, you will play a crucial role in delivering a strategy to manage risks relating to buildings under the responsibility of property services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a risk management strategy to ensure compliance with statutory and non-statutory regulations.
  • Monitor and audit the work carried out by framework contractors to ensure quality and adherence to defined specifications.
  • Provide assurance and evidence of risk management through structured checking, monitoring, auditing, and reporting.
  • Support the development of a culture of strong risk management and compliance within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Background in commercial building maintenance with experience in statutory and non-statutory compliance.
  • Proven track record of ensuring contractors deliver high-quality work that meets safety, statutory, and compliance obligations.
  • Strong risk management and compliance skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
