We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our growing team in Birmingham. As a key member of Gleeds, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional building surveying services to a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with business unit directors to achieve strategic objectives and drive business growth.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Lead and manage building surveying projects from initial feasibility studies through to successful completion and handover.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive planned maintenance schedules for various property assets.
  • Appoint and effectively manage sub-consultants, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Provide expert technical advice to clients and project team members, contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members, fostering a culture of professional development and growth.
  • Prepare compelling service bids and manage service delivery to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • MRICS qualification is essential.
  • Extensive experience in building surveying, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices.
  • Strong technical design and specification skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience in construction procurement and contract administration.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
