Band 5 Theatre Scrub Practitioner - Ophthalmic Theatres

We are seeking a motivated and experienced registered practitioner nurse or operating practitioner to join our highly graded ophthalmology theatre team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The team operates on specialized cases such as corneal grafts, DSEK, and DMEK, as well as stents for glaucoma surgery.

This is an excellent opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced practitioners to develop a range of relevant skills and advance their careers in theatres.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality perioperative care and support to patients undergoing ophthalmic surgery.

You will work closely with the surgical team to ensure the smooth running of operations and provide assistance with anaesthetic and surgical procedures.

  • RGN or RODP qualification
  • Experience in anaesthetic and/or surgical and/or recovery skills
