Job Summary:

Invictus Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineering Technician with a background in either electrical or mechanical engineering to join a facilities maintenance team. This role offers the unique opportunity to work across two healthcare sites, providing leadership and technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems across two healthcare sites.
  • Lead and manage a small team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and hands-on assistance as needed.
  • Ensure all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard, in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to healthcare services during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reliability of systems.
  • Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement of necessary tools and equipment.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a facilities maintenance role, ideally within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full UK driving license is required.
